Land Acknowledgement

SDG Cities humbly acknowledges the Indigenous Peoples who have stewarded the lands and waters of the places we call home. To realize a just and sustainable future we recognize the harmful legacy of colonization, both past and present, and go forward together in the spirit of reconciliation.

Guelph is located on the ancestral lands of the Attawandaron people and the treaty lands of the Mississauga’s of the Credit First Nations and Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Metis. London is located on the ancestral territory of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee and the Lunaapeewak Peoples, neighbouring the territory of the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, Oneida Nation of the Thames and Munsee-Delaware Nation.
